Remembering Great Apes is the third book in the Remembering Wildlife series and by covering gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos and orangutans, is our most ambitious yet. Once again many of the world’s top wildlife photographers, from Tim Laman to Brent Stirton, Art Wolfe to Frans Lanting, have already answered our call to donate images and the book will feature more than 70 stunning photographs.

Hi everyone, just wanted to keep you all in the loop regarding the books, our exhibition and launch! Not long to go now!
Our official publication date is Monday 15th October but books to Kickstarter supporters will be dispatched the week before that, so just a few more weeks to go before you get your hands on the books. Thank you all for your patience - we will post another update when they are on their way!
In the meantime we've been using some advanced copies for publicity and I'm thrilled to say we had the chance to present a copy to the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, a few weeks ago. We had half an hour with him discussing conservation and left incredibly inspired by his commitment to mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Such a great honour and endorsement for our project - thank you all for believing in us which enabled this to happen!

A reminder that our launch event will be held on the evening of Thursday 18th October at London's Royal Geographical Society. Our speakers will include Ian Redmond OBE, activist Ofir Drori and former Wildlife Photographer of the Year Tim Laman alongside his wife, orangutan researcher Cheryl Knott. There will be 35 of our contributing photographers attending that night and there will be an opportunity to get your books signed by them on the night too. And finally, we'll be holding an auction of some of the prints as well as some special safaris that night too as well. We hope to see some of you there - please click here to buy your tickets!
And we will also be holding a two-week exhibition of pictures from the book at La Galleria, Pall Mall in London 10am-5pm daily from Monday 15th October to Saturday 27th October. There you can also buy framed prints of your favourite images.
Thank you again for your interest, we can't wait for you to see the books!
All the best

Really excited to share with our wonderful Kickstarter followers this video filmed just for you on press today at EBS in Italy. Printing is underway of this year's book and is only possible because of YOU!!!
Publication date is October 14th (they still need to be bound and shipped to the UK) and your books will be sent out a few days before that. We're printing 5000 copies this year thanks to your generous support, hopefully meaning we'll raise the most money yet with this book for conservation. This is team work!
With enormous gratitude to all of you!
Margot xx
BackerKit surveys are coming!

In the next few days, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys in mid-September (so for example, if you change address) and get our final counts.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you will be able to return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://remembering-great-apes.backerkit.com.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://remembering-great-apes.backerkit.com/faq
Thank you again so much for your support! Book design is well underway and looking beautiful, we can't wait to put them in your hands in October.
All the best

Thank you for everyone's patience since our Kickstarter ended. Over the past couple of weeks (delayed a little by Easter), Kickstarter has been collecting the funds for the pledges made and now hopefully has resolved any issues with failed payments. We'll get confirmation of all of that next week and then will be sending out the surveys for the information we need from you towards the end of next week or the beginning of the following. In the meantime, design of the book continues apace and we are excited to be receiving some fantastic entries to the competition also.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we'll be in touch soon!
The Remembering Great Apes photo contest is now live!!
– Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 10:30:22 PM
Every year when putting our books together, we are overwhelmed with people offering us use of their images for the cause. For that reason we created a competition and each year, hold back 10 places in the book for winners. And as you can see from the picture of a previous winner Denise Eriksson below, there's no better feeling than seeing your image in the book!
This year's competition is now live and if you have images of gorillas, chimpanzees, bonobos or orangutans taken in the wild, we'd love to see them! Please head over to www.rememberinggreatapes.com to enter. You can enter as many times as you like and all profits after costs will be donated to the cause. The contest is open until 29th April 23.59 GMT.
Good luck, we can't wait to see what you have!
